The final day of the season’s first round has seen lights out!

The MOTUL FIM Superbike World Championship’s Australian Round is over the hump, and now set off on a mad dash to the finish line on Sunday! With the Tissot Superpole Race and subsequent Race 2 coming up later today, the Warm Up session gave riders a chance to square away their setups on Sunday morning. Sam Lowes (ELF Marc VDS Racing Team) snapped Nicolo Bulega's (Aruba.it Racing - Ducati) streak of topping sessions so far this weekend as the Ducati Independent shuffled the Italian to P2 and ahead of Alex Lowes (bimota by Kawasaki Racing Team) in P3.

Sam Lowes took the top spot in Warm Ups with a 1’28.858s time, a mere +0.003s faster than Bulega, but enough to send him to P2 ahead of the final two races of the round. Sam’s Bimota-powered brother Alex Lowes (bimota by Kawasaki Racing Team) set a 1’29.107s time to take P3, as he led his Italian teammate Axel Bassani, who took P4 behind him on a 1’29.183s effort.

Yari Montella (Barni Spark Racing Team) enjoyed his first WorldSBK podium on Saturday as he took P2 in Race 1; his 1’29.298s pace to start Sunday morning saw him land P5. Brand-new factory Ducati rider Iker Lecuona (Aruba.it Racing - Ducati) landed in P6 as he continues to get up to speed with his new 2026 Ducati Panigale V4R. The Spaniard took P6 on account of a 1’29.407s time. Behind him, Lorenzo Baldassarri (Team GoEleven) looks hungry for more podium success as he lands P7 with a 1’29.416s time.

Garrett Gerloff (Kawasaki WorldSBK Team) continues to show improved pace in this season’s opening round; his 1’29.530s time earned him P8. Alvaro Bautista (Barni Spark Racing Team) snagged a P9 finish at the track he has enjoyed success in the past; he finished with a time of 1’29.688s. Miguel Oliveira (ROKiT BMW Motorrad WorldSBK Team) slid into the top 10 again as he continues to grow with this BMW M1000RR package in P10 thanks to a 1’29.847s time.
